Shannon Mcmahon has a doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Pacific College of Health & Science in Chicago
As a clinician, Dr. Shannon McMahon strives to advance ethical and patient centered care while practicing Traditional East Asian Medicine. These values carry over into serving and educating the community in which she lives and practices in as a whole. She is a member of the Illinois Society of Acupuncturist (ILSA) and is serving on the ILSA Continuing Education Committee in order to facilitate continuing further education for acupuncturists in Illinois and throughout the midwest. She received her doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health & Science and is licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulations (IDFPR) as a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.). Dr. McMahon is board certified by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
In her professional roles, she has completed an internship at RUSH hospital in Chicago providing acupuncture for patients undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment. She has also completed an internship at the Jesse Brown Veterans Medical Center in Chicago as an acupuncturist as well as working in the Pacific College student clinic with patients who were coming in for treatment for a wide range of health concerns.
